Dear Readers, please note that I am making these posts as I pray this Novena of Surrender for the first time. I've decided not to look ahead and am only posting each day's message as I come to it. So consider that each message may have historical and cultural contexts and background information about the spirituality of its author, Servant of God Don Dolindo Ruotolo, of which I am unaware. About those sorts of things, I've chosen not to delve into them for this first time through. Instead, let's say I'm simply "surrendering to the 'Surrender Novena'" and to what the Lord may choose to accomplish through my praying of it.
The Surrender Novena
Day 8
Hear our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ say to you,
"Close your eyes and let yourself be carried away on the flowing current of my grace; close your eyes and do not think of the present, turning your thoughts away from the future just as you would from temptation. Repose in me, believing in my goodness, and I promise you by my love that if you say, 'You take care of it,' I will take care of it all; I will console you, liberate you and guide you."
Then pray the following: O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times, perhaps with Rosary beads)
